Newspapers are usually edited to avoid unwanted or insensitive clashes between stories and images on the same page, however the relationship between images on opposite sides of the same page are rarely considered. The artist noticed (when reading newspapers in bright sunlight) that overlapping images are often accidentally juxtaposed in contrasting or meaningful ways. Using topical cuttings from newspapers directly as negatives, images from both sides of a page were elided to form a single image.

Both sides of the story #3 juxtaposes an image of pistol-toting, burkha wearing women superimposed within a compound of pigs.
